Ingredients
1 Khanum Cinnamon stick
4 Khanum Green Cardamon
2 Cloves
2 Pepper Corns
½ tsp Loose Black Tea
1-4 tsp of sugar
½ Pint Whole milk
¼ Golden Swan Star Aniseed
½ tsp Fresh Ginger (optional)
Method:
- Add the Khanum Cinnamon Stick, Khanum Green Cardamon, Clove, Peppercorns, & Golden Swan Star Aniseed to a pestle & Mortar. Crush them until fine, or slightly coarse depending on preference.
- Heat 350ml of water in a saucepan. Add the crushed spices to the pan. You can add ½ tsp fresh ginger grated at this point. Add your loose tea and bring to a boil on a medium heat. Once boiled turn the heat down to a medium or low heat and leave to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the sugar and the milk to the pan a little at a time stirring the mixture to combine. Bring the tea to a boil and leave to simmer on a medium heat for 2 minutes allowing the tea to thicken and reduce.
- Strain the tea into your serve in your favourite cup and enjoy.
